For a really nice display of a patriotic 3D prints, check out this awesome 3D printed silhouette of the skyline of New York City. They have a whole collection of skylines of famous cities around the world, but for the 4th of July we had to highlight New York City. This would be a great along a food table, and beautiful once lit when the sun goes down and the fireworks start. If NYC isn’t your thing, you should be inspired to do a skyline of your own city. You can check out the other skylines by 3DShook here.

On Cults3D you can print out a few of the founding fathers either as a history lesson for the kids, or as decoration around the house. These were scanned by the designer and then printed in ABS and finished to look like real bronze statues. While the look is real, we still wish there was less post finishing needed for some of these patriotic 3D prints. The party food picks, however, are good to go off the build plate as long as you are using food safe filament!

Over on Shapeways, we finally found some wearable patriotic 3D prints for a festive outfit. I was hoping to find a few more pieces of red, white, and blue jewelry or more with stars and flag charms, but it was pretty slim pickings. Of course, any jewelry you do see online, you could always download it and print in red, white, and blue, but that plastic jewelry look might only look great on those 12 and under… There was also this awesome party food plates that are individually different areas of the United States, the south, the north, the west, and the midwest, but put all together they make the map of the US. Very cute idea, would love to see it done bigger in each individual state – you probably wouldn’t want all 50 but you could just print the state you are from, or live in to show a little state pride.
