XYZ daVinci Jr 3D Printer Review – Battle of the Minis, Part 2
XYZ Printing showed what appeared to be a real mini 3D printer at CES in January. We requested that new 3D printer for our Battle of the Minis 3D printer review. The new mini 3D printer is not available for review yet, so the display at CES was a very early preview of a product that is not commercially available. So XYZ sent us their daVinci Jr. 3D printer. At first glance this 3D printer does not appear to be a mini 3D printer at all. However, the build plate is definitely small, in … [Read more...]
3D Print STEAM Building with Victor Ciccarelli of STEAM Maker Workshop
We have an interview today in the STEAM education realm. Victor Ciccarelli has this business called STEAM Maker Workshop in San Diego. We got hooked up with him because of Cindi Schulz, the Teacher of the Year who we interviewed on a previous episode. It is the workshop through which she was hired to develop her program for how to incorporate 3D printing into the classroom for the curriculum. It was facilitated through him and sponsored by Robo3D. That’s how we got hooked up with him. I had … [Read more...]
Builder Dual 3D Printer Review – Double Dutch Color 3D Printing
If you have just started looking into all of the available 3D printers on the market, you may be wondering why so many printers are only capable of printing with one color or material at a time? That is exactly what we thought as we got started a couple of years ago. Once we started getting good at 3D Printing on a one color machine we began to crave two things, better material colors, and making prints in more than one color. So we started evaluating two color (dual extrusion) machines, and … [Read more...]

Tom and Tracy take a deep dive with John Biehler, 3D printing advocate, author, and adviser to Pinshape, into some of the exciting and unique ways Canadian artists and retailers are working together to expose 3D printing to the masses, including a 3D … [Read more...]
3D Printed Robotics & Drones
3D Printed Robotics and Drones are all the rage these days. Companies developing them are racing to prove that their technology is better than all others. Our guests this week, Jesse Chang and Marc Gyongyosi, founders of two startups, MDAR and Intelligent Flying Machines (IFM), use 3D Printed Robotics and Drones to speed product development and keep costs down.
