By Tracy and Tom Hazzard

See our picks for the few good last minute 3D Printables to download and print for Dad!

3D Printables | Cookie Cutter | EtsyWaited until the last minute to think of a gift for Dad? Why not give your tech geek Dad a 3D Print? We’ve taken care some of the searching required to find good 3D Printables perfect for Dad. There are also sites like Etsy, Amazon’s 3D Printed Product Store* and Sculpteo where there might still be time to rush delivery on a print for some of their 3D Printed products like this 3D Printed “I Love My Daddy” Cookie Cutter designed by Susan Butler of 3DKamotion – use it to make him a homemade batch of his favorite cookies. Sweet and Tech Savvy!

 3D Printables Picks for Dads

From Pinshape & Cults 3D

Our top 3D Printables for Mother’s Day came from Cults3D & Pinshape so naturally we looked to them again for Father’s Day. These sites do a great job of attracting good artists and designers who provide quality content. Most of the 3D Printables have been successfully printed so you shouldn’t waste time.

From 3D Print Life, 3DShook & 3DaGoGo

New to our 3D Printables sites gift list are 3DPrintLife, 3DShook & 3DaGoGo. All are relatively new file libraries so their selections are small or their sites are still in beta, but there are some promising things here. 3D Print Life has designs that have been tested to be printable and many have been designed by RISD grads. 3DShook has a much larger collection and everything we found included photos of the items actually printed. As always we wil keep searching for new sites to find great 3D Printables, so if you hear of any let us know.

We found it surprisingly frustrating searching for quality designs for Dads. There are a lot of geeky gadgets out there, so if that fits your dad, you should be set on any 3D Printables site. We are a little more picky.

Want to know what we are giving our dads?  A tie! Of course, it’s not just any neck tie… we are giving our Dads one of our 3D Printed Twist Tie designs* – soon to be available in the Amazon 3d Printed Product Store.

Happy Father’s Day!
